We are back in Bangkok at a hotel near the airport. We flew from Narita yesterday and arrived here in the middle of the night. The children had slept on the plane and Gordon had dozed, but I just watched movies and feel a little jet lagged even after several hours sleep in the biggest bed yet. We are gearing up for the big one tonight - we have to try and get a night's sleep on the plane (ha ha) clear customs early tomorrow in Sydney and then a domestic flight to Brisbane. We then have to travel to get the car (could be train, but we are thinking taxi splurge) and then a drive to our motel in Caboolture. If the marriage is still intact and the children still have heads we will then get on with the Australian leg of our trip! Just joking - the trip has been quiet harmonious so far. But we haven't driven anywhere yet...
I will post some more Japan pics soon - this internet is free and no facility. Hope all is well with you guys.
Leaving Thailand is sad. We have loved it here. We hope it sorts itself out soon, such smiley happy people deserve peace x

ReplyDeleteHi guys, love to hear your news and see photos! Would really really like to see a close up of Rosa's gorgeous new hair style, I am sure I spotted a few braids tumbling down. Mac is talking and planning his bday at present and is a bit disappointed that finn won't be here to join him - he was planning some surfing down the beach and was sure finn would be up for that - anyway the surf will be here when you all return so will look forward to that. Guess you will be in your lovely vehicle by now and driving around - sos! oops that really was a typing slip, meant to be wow! Ruby off to brownie camp this weekend. Keep enjoying yourselves, love from us all

We are all waiting to hear how the Urban Country Music Festival went and how life shakes down in a wee camper van
Cheers S.R.R.H.
Well, you guys I thought you were setting a hectic pace in Thailand, but you have exceeded it in Japan by the sound of it! We have enjoyed reading of your experiences and seeing the great photos, which at 1000 words each must save a lot of typing! Hope you find a computer soon in Australia. No doubt having a great time at the music festival. Keep posting. Lou, Craig, Skye and Pippa
ReplyDeleteI see there is a Beard Papa in the Brisbane area
ReplyDeleteWestfield Garden City Shopping Centra, Mt Gravatt, QLD
- It sounded like food so I had to look it up-
Cheers
Rosemary
Rosemary - you are a hoot! Beard Papa makes these amazing custard cream puffs. Almost as good as yours! Not sure whether to thank you for finding them in Aus...they will call out to me! I'm sure Tomtom will sniff them out for me! Love your photos and it is nice to know you are keeping an eye on us :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lou and Crew! Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with property management? Take it no news is good news?
Nice work, Mum. I've met amp before and he's a bit of a pain. Yes, we will ignore him...x
Crikey Wendy...could life be any busier? I reckon the BOT could do very well to have both you and Jane. You get my votes. If I had them. Yes, you Howe's are very adventurous these days! I'm sure you needed a lie down late Sunday afternoon! Have not entered one single quilt shop but here in rural Aus there are certainly quilters around...evidence is everywhere! Ooops - Happy Anniversary! What a shocking sister/bridesmaid I am :-(. Dreamt about you last night - a flat airbed and cold nose makes for a very restless and dreamfilled night! Miss you heaps and love to all x x x xx x
Hi Rachel! Happy Belated Birthday Nick! Good to hear Joseph went well...am very sad to have missed it! Can't believe Chris almost finished this part of his training - I take my hat off to him, I really do. x x x x
Good spotting Vick! Yes, Rosa had her hair braided in Thailand. Have just taken it out - it got very rough at the end there! Are looking to do it again though, makes life very easy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAC!!! Enjoy the surf and the presents and the kissing (from your Mum I mean) Parcel is on its way x
Hey Heide! Keep tuning in, hopefully we will be a little more regular in our entries now! But who knows...sometimes the fun gets in the way....x
