Fraser Coast

We are now in Rainbow Beach, after arriving here late yesterday afternoon through the most torrential rainstorm I have ever experienced. We stayed in a cabin last night, but today have moved out onto the National Park at Inskip Point for a couple of nights. We spent most of the week bush camping in a park at Boreen Point on the edge of a gentle lake about 10km north of Noosa. Last Sunday's concert was really so cool. Lee Kernaghan (I will go on as if everybody knows who I am talking about) really exceeded expectations. The show was so good - we had third row seats. AND THEN afterwards we got to meet him! Right place, right time. He was really lovely and chatted away to us and asked us about our trip and we told him we spend most of our Friday nights watching his DVD while eating fish and chips - to which he completely thrilled me by saying 'Fair dinkum?'. He was Australian of the Year in 2008, and I'm not surprised. I think it is fair to say all four of us have a little crush...

We feel it was time you were back with us all!! Love hearing your updates and adventures, we are quite glad you are not in Thailand any more, I know mac and blair have been in touch and mac LOVED his bday pressie - obviously something special going on with the t shirt as i have not even been able to wash it yet - it even goes to school with mac under his school t-shirt!!! Finn, he covers the smell with LINKS, all I can say is YUCK!!! Ruby had a friend over for the weekend and they made cupcakes looked delicious until they covered them in PURPLE icing! Mac and Ned have been making skateboard ramps and taking up half the road and scaring me half to death with they ambitious jumps. Jonty would love to watch DVD"s all day but managed to drag him away to the river to experience the wonderful wild life of waikuku beach for part of the afternoon - not as wild as Oz i am sure, but we're ok with that! Looking forward to seeing you all back in NZ - how much longer do we have to wait? Be happy, be adventurous, be enjoying every moment! love and hugs, arhoha and kihi to you all,

  3. Hey up Caddies! Great to hear the stories of all your adventures. It sounds like an absolutely brilliant time you're having! We check back every couple of days so keep up the good work! :o)
The news on this side of the world is that we're pregnant!! :o) Well, you knew that already but we've had our 12 week scan this morning and everything is exactly as it should be. As you can imagine, we're absolutely over the moon. :o)
So all is very well here. I sit here typing this in our backyard with the sun beating down. 26 degrees yesterday, 27 today! It's payback for all those snowy winter days we had a few months back.
Like I say, great to hear all your stories, it's been very interesting following you around.
Take care and love to all!

So good to hear from you all - thanks for missing me Rachel - I thought of you all over the weekend - the quilting shops have been a bit thin on the ground here - hope I won a raffle prize?!
News from Waikuku is always good! I know about the attachment to the shirt, Vick, Finn spent half his holiday money acquiring several and he wears each for a few days in a row...
Right, best off to buy some wool to knit myself a great-auntie shawl!
